The Monacair Group is a leader in private helicopter management, offering to ensure the management, airworthiness, operation, and maintenance of helicopters. Over the years, the Group has specialized in the deployment of medium and large helicopters on yachts positioned around the world. It is also one of the few helicopter companies to own maintenance centers approved by Airbus helicopters, Leonardo and Bell Helicopters.

Mainly based in Monaco where its parent company is located, the Group has several facilities in France (Archamps in Haute-Savoie, Grimaud in the Var) and has hangars of approximately 5,000 m² mainly at the Monaco heliport, Annecy airport in Haute-Savoie, Le Castellet airport in the Var and Cannes airport in the Alpes-Maritimes. The Group operates under Monacair, Héli Sécurité, Monacair Maintenance Center, Skycam and Rotor Team.

1988

The Birth of Monacair

Created by Stefano Casiraghi creates MONACAIR in 1988 is a Monégasque helicopter airline specialized in private flights and helicopter management.

1999

Official supplier to H.S.H the Sovereign Prince of Monaco

MONACAIR becomes the Official supplier to H.S.H the Sovereign Prince of Monaco. By appointment of Albert II, Prince of Monaco, the company has also provides transport for the Princely Family of Monaco, the Government of Monaco, and several Heads of State visiting the Principality.
2010

Skycam joins Monacair Group

Skycam, the French passenger transport operator based in Archamps (near Geneva), Le Castellet and Paris, is now part of the Monacair group. Skycam is one of the helicopter management specialists in France with a wide range of helicopters in management.
2015

Scheduled Route tender call

In July 2015, Monacair won the tender initiated by the Government to operate the schedule route between Nice and Monaco from January 1st 2016.

Brand new fleet of helicopters

In December 2015: A fleet of six brand-new single-engine H130 helicopters, fitted with enlarged trunks and reduced carbon emissions was delivered to operate the schedule route between Nice and Monaco. These helicopters are air-conditioned and are mostly used for the schedule route transfers: Monaco-Nice and Nice-Monaco. H130 T2 helicopters are characterized by best in-class performance (increased passenger capacity, noise reduction, comfort, panoramic view and reduced vibrations) and safety.
2016

Scheduled route

On January, 1st 2016, Monacair starts to operate the 7 minutes flight schedule route service, along with 50 scheduled flights per day between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Monaco. Through agreements with major airlines and door-to-door bespoke service, this affordable service includes a free pick-up/drop-off service in Monaco as well as full airline check-in services allowing long-haul travelers to drastically reduce their connecting time to Nice Airport. Interline agreement with Air France & KLM

In February 2016, Monacair signs its interline agreement with Air France and KLM.
2017

Interline Agreement with Air Corsica

In February 2017, Monacair signs its interline agreement with Air Corsica.
2018

Hélisécurité joins Monacair Group

Héli Sécurité, the leader of public transportation in Saint Tropez and Courchevel, joined the group Monacair and extended the portfolio of helicopter asset to 14 and more than 30 helicopters under management. Heli Sécurité is one of the major player in Monaco, Cannes, Nice, Annecy, Genève and Courchevel.

2020

Interline agreement with Turkish Airlines

In February 2020, Monacair signed its interline agreement with Turkish Airlines.

Monacair is carbon neutral

Acknowledging its growing role as a cornerstone between Monaco and international travel, Monacair decided to further its commitment by incorporating sustainable actions to the group’s strategy. At the dawn of 2020, Monacair now offsets 100% of carbon emissions on its transfers and has decided not to charge additional fees related to this contribution to its customers.
